hiroshima,

"I'd like to make films that look like sculptures and sound like operas."
-Alain Resnais

I can't say I completely understood this film at first. It is sometimes confronting and sometimes beautiful, but definitely one to watch if you love Nouvelle Vague cinema. Hiroshima, mon amour.

  3. Fabliha, yes do!

Kimberly, I haven't read it but I want to. Are you familiar with any of Duras' other work? I'm putting her on my reading list.

  4. Unfortunately I haven't read any of her books yet, I've only seen film adaptions. L'amant is another favourite film. I should really read a novel by her before I see another film adaption, ;-)
