I have spent the last few weeks putting my portfolio together. It's been fun to look back over old projects and in some cases, finally photograph them.

This particular one is a folder I hand-made for a perspective drawing brief, I always get so excited about making booklets and folders. I thought I would try something different this time and handcut the type out of cardboard. It took quite a while but I liked how the texture of the type was such a surprise, from a distance it looks just like it's been printed.

I came across this really cute magazine, Stella, last night at Magnation.

"Stella magazine is a new bi-annual magazine for women. The magazine features women who are interesting because of what they do and think rather than because of how they look or how big a wardrobe they’ve got."

I loved the cute editorials and interviews, and the little rhubarb crumble recipe and illustration at the end. Have a look at their blog for more arty goodness.

T just made the most amazing chocolate chip biscuits in the world. i've just eaten five of these bad boys. my god they're good. i love this woman.

you promise me

Benah is one of my favourite Australian designers, and her latest collection 'You Promise Me' is everything I could have asked for and more. Geometric print scarves, leather cuffs and minimal satchels adorned with a gold clasp. It's the little things like the Kodi mini satchel bag in red that can make an outfit, i'm picturing it with a denim shirt, black leather shorts and some classic black pumps.

papier mache

I have been a fan of Papier Mache kids magazine for a while now, so it's pretty exciting to hear they are finally releasing a printed issue in February. In the meantime I suggest having a look through the old issues, they do profiles on artists and very cute photo shoots too.
